The Billie Holiday Theatre’s Black Arts Initiative invites applications for its 2026 Summer Intensive, a full-tuition scholarship program exploring Black theater traditions across the 20th and 21st centuries.

This year’s theme centers on comedy, offering actors and theater makers space to examine comedic performance through collaboration, advocacy, history, and craft.

Open to students, graduate students, theater professionals, performance artists, and others invested in Black theater traditions. Applicants must be 18+.
